🚸 A Reminder for Secondary Phase Parents and Carers 🚸
As previously highlighted, and following safety improvements carried out over the summer with support from East Sussex County Council, the bottom green gates at our Secondary Phase site are no longer a drop-off or pick-up point for vehicles.
Over the summer, a designated student safety zone was created outside these gates to help improve safety and manage traffic more effectively. To keep this area clear and protect students at the start and the end of the school day, we ask that parents and carers do not stop, park, wait, or pull into the lay-by area outside these gates when dropping off or collecting children.
Your support helps us keep this area safe, reduce congestion, and ensure students can enter and leave school safely.
✅ We ask all parents and carers to support the school by using alternative locations for drop-off and pick-up, whilst being respectful of our neighbours and local residents, and to keep the zone outside the gates clear at all times.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming our students and families back from tomorrow for the start of the new academic year at Hailsham Academy.
A special welcome to those joining our school community for the first time, whether in the Primary or Secondary phase. Our new Reception children and families will be joining us next week on either Wednesday or Thursday, and we look forward to seeing you very soon!
A reminder of arrival times for tomorrow:
• Primary (Years 1 to 6): Arrive between 8:30am and 8:40am.
• Year 7: Arrive between 8:30am and 8:40am and head to the all-weather pitch, where our Head of Year 7, Miss Newman, Mrs Harris and our Year 7 Mentors will be waiting to greet you.
• Years 8 to 11: Arrive at 11:00am and go straight into break time to catch up with friends. After break, you will go to your line-up positions with your mentor group.

📣Changes to bus services: update from ESCC
East Sussex County Council have advised us of some changes to their bus timetables that may affect Hailsham Academy students.
A particular point of note is the change to services that travel via South Road in Hailsham. The changes are detailed on the image attached and have been altered due to the road works and closure in South Road.

🎉 Congratulations to our Year 11 students on their GCSE and equivalent qualification results!
Today we are celebrating the hard work, commitment and perseverance shown by students throughout their time at Hailsham Academy Secondary Phase. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and the exciting futures that lie ahead.
Among our highest achievers were Leonie Taylor, who achieved five Grade 9s and a Distinction* at Level 2, and Exousia Usani and Hadley Manville Dobson, who both achieved excellent results including two Grade 9s. Katie Reah also secured outstanding results across a range of subjects.
We know that success cannot be measured by grades alone, and we are especially proud of those who persevered, overcame challenges and reached their own personal goals.
Executive Headteacher Anna Robinson said: "Our entire staff team are incredibly proud of the determination, resilience and character our Year 11 students have shown as they approached their final exams, and everything they have accomplished in their time with us."

Today we are celebrating our Year 13 students as they receive their A Level and vocational qualification results!
This marks an important milestone as our students complete their time at Hailsham Academy and prepare for the exciting journeys ahead. We are proud to see them progressing to a wide range of destinations, including university, apprenticeships, employment and further training.
Among those celebrating are Miriam Graham, who has achieved A*, A*, A and secured a place at the University of Oxford to study Classics and English with Latin or Greek, and Molly Crosbie, who will be studying Physical Education with QTS at the University of Brighton after achieving top grades of triple Distinction*.
Executive Headteacher, Anna Robinson said, “Today is a celebration of our students and everything they have accomplished. We are delighted to see them taking their next steps with confidence and ambition, and we are proud of what they have achieved during their time at Hailsham Academy.”
