Extra-Curricular Activities
All departments run activities after school at various points during the academic year. As examples:
The school has a strong tradition of Performing Arts events and productions. There are always Dance, Drama and Music clubs to get involved with and there is usually one main in-house Performing Arts production each year. We have taken part in Rock Challenge and Dance Live! on several occasions and there are different Dance groups to get involved with. In addition, there are numerous musical opportunities for our young people to engage in, such as learning an instrument or joining one of the bands or ensembles, not least the Hailsham Academy Orchestra.
The Physical Education (PE) department offers a comprehensive range of extra-curricular activities. In recent years school teams have achieved great success, including National recognition in a variety of sports. Extra-curricular activities include athletics, basketball, cricket, gymnastics, netball, rugby, football, trampoline, rounders, softball, and sports leadership. Every term there are competitions in a variety of sports which provide all the students in Years 7-9 with an opportunity to become involved. The school also enters Local, County, Regional and National competitions, once again providing opportunities for all students.
Hailsham Academy Trips and Visits
