Our Pre-School Curriculum
At Hailsham Academy Pre-School, our curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and a love of learning from the very start.
We provide a play-based, child-centred approach, carefully planned to support all areas of development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Through a balance of adult-led and child-initiated activities, children are encouraged to:
- Explore and investigate
- Develop communication and language skills
- Build confidence and independence
- Form positive relationships with others
Our experienced staff tailor learning to each child’s interests and needs, ensuring that every child is supported to make progress, regardless of their starting point.
We place a strong emphasis on:

As well as providing opportunities for:
- Creative play
- Outdoor learning
- Problem-solving and exploration
We believe that children learn best when they feel safe, engaged and inspired. Our curriculum is designed to nurture well-rounded, confident learners who are ready for the next stage of their education.
