Year 8 HPV Vaccinations – Friday 26 June 2026
Information will be sent out detailing how to register your child for the vaccinations, which is organised by the NHS Schools Immunisation Team.
Year 5 Open Events
For families of Year 5 children at primary schools within our community area.
As your child approaches their final term in Year 5, we are delighted to invite Year 5 pupils and their parents/carers to an interactive Year 5 Open Morning at Hailsham Academy Secondary Phase.
These invitation-only events, arranged in partnership with your child’s primary school, give families an early opportunity to experience life at our secondary school before the main Year 6 Open Events in October.
What can you expect?
Our Open Mornings begin with a hands-on taster activity for Year 5 pupils, led by our teaching staff and supported by our fantastic Year 9 Student Ambassadors – giving children a real flavour of secondary school learning.
For parents and carers, the morning includes:
- A welcome talk and Q&A with the Headteacher and Head of Year 7
- The chance to meet our Year 7 Team, current Year 7 students and key staff
- A guided tour of the school led by our Student Ambassadors
- Refreshments available during the visit
The Open Mornings will run from 9:15am – 11:00am on dates between Tuesday 21 to Thursday 30 April 2026
Bookings will be available up until the day prior to each event.
