Drama Trip to The Congress Theatre

Drama Trip to The Congress Theatre

Earlier this term, Year 10 and 11 GCSE Drama students went to see the ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ stage play (adapted from the book by Harper Lee) at The Congress Theatre, Eastbourne.

This was a great success and students left the theatre with an emotional response to the play, which will help them with their Live Theatre Review as part of their GCSE.

For some of our students, this was their first time going to the theatre or their first experience of watching a play and they were all an absolute credit to the school.

The students fully understood the impact of this classical piece of literature when performed on stage with discussions in lessons being purposeful and impactful.

A massive thank you to Mr Waghorne for organising the trip and to Mrs Radley with her invaluable support on the night.
