Kinetic Dance Company Shines at Disneyland Paris

Kinetic Dance Company Shines at Disneyland Paris

During the May half-term break, members of Kinetic Dance Company had the incredible opportunity to travel to Disneyland Paris, where they performed a 20-minute dance piece inspired by Aladdin and took part in the Disneyland parade.

The students represented Hailsham Academy with pride and professionalism throughout the trip. Both performances took place on the same day, with students rising at 6:00am for a 7:00am rehearsal start. Despite the long day and demanding schedule, their enthusiasm, energy and commitment never wavered.

Performing in temperatures reaching 32°C, the students remained focused, professional and determined, maintaining exceptionally high standards from start to finish. Their dedication and resilience were evident throughout the day and reflected the hard work they had put into preparing for this exciting opportunity.

Following the performances, several members of the public took the time to speak to staff and comment on how outstanding the students had been. Behind the scenes, their conduct was equally impressive, with staff receiving praise for the students’ exemplary behaviour and professionalism backstage.

After completing their performances, the students were able to enjoy the park and celebrate the success of all their hard work. It was a wonderful reward for their commitment and achievement.

We would like to say a huge congratulations and thank you to every student who took part. We are incredibly proud of everything they accomplished and could not have asked for a better representation of Hailsham Academy.

A special thank you must also go to the parents and families who supported both the students and staff throughout the preparation process. Your encouragement, commitment and enthusiasm have been invaluable, and we are extremely grateful for your continued support.

An additional huge thank you goes out to the Hailsham Rotary Club who gave the school a very generous donation which helped towards the dancers costumes and the trip itself.

Well done to everyone involved in making this a truly memorable and successful experience and for the hours of work and preparation put in to the routines and organisation by our staff Miss Southall, Miss Christie and Miss Cull.
