Hailsham Academy Careers Fair 2026
On Tuesday 24 March, we were delighted to welcome more than 30 local businesses, training providers, and post-16 education settings to our annual Hailsham Academy Secondary Phase Careers Fair. This event has become a highlight of our school calendar, giving every student from Year 7 to Year 11 the chance to explore future pathways and speak directly with industry professionals.
Organised by our Careers Lead, Miss Murray, the fair brings together employers, apprenticeship providers, colleges and universities under one roof. Our aim is to help students make informed decisions about their futures by offering real insight into the skills, qualifications, and career routes available to them.
Throughout the day, our students showed great enthusiasm, asking thoughtful questions, engaging positively with exhibitors, and demonstrating our MARK values. We received fantastic feedback from many of the organisations who attended, praising both the students and the smooth running of the event.
Events like this are only possible thanks to the dedication of our staff, who go above and beyond to create meaningful opportunities for our young people. We are extremely grateful to everyone involved, and we would like to extend a special thank you to all the brilliant organisations who gave their time to support the day.
“It’s been fantastic to see months of planning come together so successfully,” commented Miss Murray. “I’m incredibly proud of the event and the level of engagement from both exhibitors and students. A huge thank you to everyone involved for their enthusiasm and support. It really highlights how important careers education is for our young people.”
We are extremely proud of what our students gained from the experience and look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships with local employers and education providers, while ensuring the event continues to inspire students and support them in making informed decisions about their future pathways.
