British Schools Trampoline Championships
On Sunday 25th January, Hailsham Academy competed in the zonal round of the British Schools Trampoline Championships in Weston-super-Mare.
The squad included three teams and five individual competitors:
Individual Competitors
- Novice Year 7: Amelia
- Intermediate: Ruby
- Senior Advanced: Ella
- Years 7–9 Advanced: Sophie
Team Competitors
- Intermediate Team: Kaleesi, Sian, and Ruby
- Senior Advanced Team: Keira, Tilly, Megan, and Ella
- Years 7–9 Advanced Team: Amy, Jess, and Sophie
Results
- Senior Advanced Team: 3rd place, with Ella qualifying for the National Finals
- Intermediate Team: 5th place
- Years 7–9 Advanced Team: 2nd place, qualifying for the National Finals
- Sophie also placed in the top five individually, earning individual qualification for the National Finals
These are outstanding results and a testament to the tremendous hard work shown by all the athletes. This event is the largest in the competition calendar, bringing together five regions to form the Southern Zone—more than 500 competitors in total.
The day was made even more memorable as the students had the unique experience of competing alongside Princess Charlotte, who was supported by her mother, the Princess of Wales.
