Secondary Phase Open Events 2025

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to our recent Secondary Phase Open Day on Saturday 4 October, and the week of Year 6 Open Morning Tours that followed.

Our interactive Open Day was a fantastic success, with a vibrant atmosphere throughout the Academy. We were delighted to welcome so many prospective students and families, and we hope you found the event both informative and inspiring. Special thanks go to our brilliant students, who gave up their time to represent the school by leading tours, supporting departmental activities, and delivering talks to our visitors. Their enthusiasm and professionalism were outstanding.

We are also incredibly grateful to our dedicated staff, whose hard work and commitment made the day such a success, and to the external organisations who supported the event: our catering provider, Chartwells, Play Sport UK, Link Football Coaching, Hailsham Youth Service and Bang’s Food Truck.

Following Open Day, we welcomed Year 6 students and their families for a series of Open Morning Tours throughout the week. These tours offered a chance to experience Hailsham Academy on a normal school day, and once again, our Year 9 Student Ambassadors played a key role in guiding visitors, providing insight into life as a Hailsham Academy student, and helping younger students feel at ease. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many visitors praising the confidence, kindness, and knowledge of our ambassadors.
